One of the first Japanese tanks of the post-war period. Combat effectiveness
The STA-2 has all the characteristics of Japanese medium tanks: high damage per minute, average stabilization, good vertical aiming angles, and low armor. STA-2 is most effective as a means of supporting allies from a medium distance, assuming a competent choice of position and the ability to predict the course of the battle.
- Characteristic features of the car
Damage per minute. The tank boasts one of the best damage rates per minute among classmates — 2028 units excluding the rammer. If the player has the proper skill, this is quite enough to quickly destroy any opponent.
Armor penetration. The average value of armor penetration in the base ammunition is 212 mm. This is a normal indicator for a medium tier VIII tank, but some single-level opponents will be difficult to hit in the frontal projection of the tank. But in the fight against high-level armored opponents, you will have to carefully target vulnerabilities or resort to cumulative projectiles — in critical situations, 275 millimeters of armor penetration will help decide the outcome of a collision in your favor.
Vertical aiming angles. The tank can effectively fire from behind the reverse slope of the hill, which is generally typical for high-level Japanese medium tanks. The UVN indicator of -10 degrees significantly increases the comfort of the game and the survival rate of the car.
Stabilization. As an added bonus, STA-2 offers players normal stabilization when firing on the move. It is worth noting that daring raids in full view of the opponent are not the main task for this tank.
Low visibility. A good indicator of camouflage with the right choice of position will help you realize the above-mentioned advantages of the car, and the right tactics will help you shoot unnoticed into the sides of opponents.
Booking. Melee combat is directly contraindicated for the STA-2 due to its weak armor. To achieve maximum effect when using the tank, you need to keep it as far away from the enemy as possible, but not too far, because accuracy at very long distances can play a cruel joke with you.

A sniper. Comfortable vertical aiming angles and good accuracy allow you to fire at long distances. The high rate of fire allows you to quickly deal with the enemy before he has time to detect the Japanese and return fire. But you should not stay in one place too long: the STA-2 is very afraid of artillery fire.
Support. If the map is not suitable for sniper tactics, or if the enemy is close enough, then the STA-2 can also be used as a support tank. Use shelters, terrain creases, and armored allies and try not to attract too much attention from the enemy. If the enemy is concentrating on you, retreat or pretend to retreat, and when they are distracted, attack again.
